A legendary resort, Warner Springs Ranch was founded by John Warner in 1844, who, like Native American generations prior, recognized the benefits of the area's natural hot springs. The ranch quickly became an important stop for weary travelers along the historic Butterfield Overland Stage. Early visitors included Kit Carson and Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Ulysses S. Grant.
